What does a returned county jail letter look like if it get it returned ? Not sure if its from mailman or jail. Does it say anything on letter ?

Asked by Deanna de over 4 years ago

Never worked in a county jail in my life. Normally it would say RETURN TO SENDER but other than that it would depend. Post Office is unlikely to know if a particular person is a prisoner at as particular time so they would normally send it on to the jail. It would be up to the jail to forward or return it.

Do you think Maxwell will mistersly die or go missing from prison?

Asked by Rob almost 5 years ago

I think it is unlikely in the extreme that she will mysteriously disappear.

Did you ever have a problem with your hand held radios. Ronald spotted some BS suspicious activity, Dave saw something you would never believe, Marlene is going to tell everyone what she is having for lunch today, Darrel is taking a bathroom break, Bobbi Sue is having her nails done, Bob saw something you would never believe it oh my gosh come check it out, Dan is just talking to hear himself talk and it goes on and on meanwhile you have a fight or something and you can’t get on the air. I mean there is a priority or emergency button but sometimes there are not emergencies but when you want to get on but people are just talking to hear themselves talk. Did you ever have that?

Asked by Lol almost 5 years ago

The radios we had when I left were 80 mghtz radios but did not have a priority circuit on them. There is, of course, not supposed to be a lot of BS traffic on the radios, they are supposed to be official business and not idle chitchat. Whoever is in charge should have something to say about obvious misuse of the system. .

Do inmates celebrate Christmas?

Asked by Andy about 5 years ago

The Christian ones do. The Muslims and Jews, not so much. Pagans celebrate the Winter Solstice which happens near Christmas, but not right on Christmas.

Do you think not wearing a mask should be a crime or do you think people who create these laws, ordinances, policies, etc should be the ones arrested

Asked by Jamie over 4 years ago

Assuming it can be proven, or at least convincingly demonstrated, that the current level of medical science says mask DO substantially inhibit the spread of Covid-19 I have no problem with it being a law. Of course as far as I know in most locations it is NOT a law, it is an administrative order enacted by a governor, mayor etc. We have been dealing with this for a year now. There is enough time for legislative bodies to have made up their minds and taken action. I have no problem with using administrative or executive action for a relatively short period of time to deal with something new or unexpected. Doing it long-term is not a great idea, for what my opinion may be worth. I also have no problem with property owners saying that YOU MUST WEAR A MASK TO COME INTO MY STORE-RESTAURANT-WHATEVER. If you don't like it, take your business elsewhere.

My fiance who is currently at USP Leavenworth informed me that when he called my number my cell # was restricted. He has moved twice and this has never happened. He recently moved to the Leavenworth facility in July 2020 and we spoke only twice for 7 minutes each. I have never talked slang, 3 way called, or spoke on anything suspicious, no gambling, nothing that constitutes me being restricted He was told it was a “third party” that did the block. I called my carrier and verified that I have no restrictions. I called three inmate service providers for BOP and it does not show a block. He pays for the calls and has never called me collect. I called the prison and they won’t give me any information as to tell me or him if it was the prison that restricted my number or who the “third party” is. He did today...tell me he took my number off his phone list because it was restricted and added it back...and it is still restricted. This is not supporting the Community Ties. Why would a Warden or someone at Prison do this? Who can I contact to restore my number? And/or will my number be forever restricted? Can someone help please??? Please help me. Thank you!

Sorry but i have zero experience and almost zero knowledge of the federal system. I respectfully suggest you contact the prison yourself and ask. a polite letter often gets a remarkable amount of results. Good luck.

how often do you have to have physical, mental, and firearms proficiency testing?

Asked by blue tiger over 4 years ago

Never, as I am long retired. Firearms qualifications were either once per year or four times per year depending on job assignment. (I DO have to qualify to maintain my retired carry status.) When I retired, 15+ years ago, there was no specified ongoing physical or mental testing.
